- Toothpick – DenTek Triple Clean Advanced Clean Floss Picks
- Q-Tip – SC Johnson Cotton Swab Q-Tip
- Window or Glass cleaner – Better Life Natural Streak Free Glass Cleaner
Step 1: Gather the things that you will need. Get a toothpick, Q-tip, and a window cleaner.

Step 2: if you don’t have a Q-Tip follow this step; otherwise, skip it. Take a small piece of cotton and put it together on one end of two q tips. Wind around the toothpicks, and you have your own DIY Q-Tip.

Step 3: Disconnect your mouse, and now you can begin your mouse surgery. You have to remove your trackball, so flip over the mouse and find the socket that holds the trackball. Use either the eraser end of a pencil or the non-business end of a pen, or you can even use your finger to push the trackball out.

Step 4: dip the Q-Tip in the window cleaner and scrape the debris out of the bearings. Please ensure you are gentle when cleaning the corners of the sensor window so that you don’t break or scratch them.

Step 5: Now, use a dry Q-Tip to clean the areas around the bearings.

Step 6: Simple pop the ball back into the socket.
